In the fourth series of this crime drama, Benson (Mariska Hargitay) teams up with Fin (Ice-T) for the first time on a case in which they investigate the death of prisoner. Meanwhile, Stabler (Christopher Meloni) tacklers an undercover assignment involving cocaine being smuggled in baby formula, and his life is put in jeopardy. Guest stars include Rob Estes as a controlling father whose son fears him and Elizabeth Mitchell as a grieving mother put on trial for euthanizing her terminally ill baby.
