06/21/2021 The show definitely lost energy without an audience, but given the limitations, they still did not achieve the heights of Season 1. The dancing was at a much lower level. The show format was formulaic and a copy of season 1. We meet new teams, we hear the stories of their troubled past, they come out to perform and the same judges give the same comments. More so this season however, rarely did anything the judges seemed to like look interesting to me. They were so focussed on the weekly themes, they rarely rewarded actual good dancing. But maybe this was due to the lack of good dancing overall. See more 06/12/2021 This show makes me so happy on so many levels. I love seeing the ballroom scene in action - queer/POC being beautiful, creative, and strong in face of adversity. It's so extraordinary and such a privilege to watch this community. The judges are a dream team: Law Roach - THE fashion icon who's always looking good and ALWAYS cracking me up. Jameela Jamil - She might legit be the most beautiful woman on the planet, I mean my god. She's also hella funny and has the biggest heart on the show. Megan Thee Stalion - She is the baddest mothafuckn bitch on the planet, OK?! I really can't think of anyone cooler than her. Leiomy - MOTHER! She is legendary herself and all her feedback and scores for the houses are always on point. Host is the best: Deshaun West who is dreamy and fabulous. I also should add that the cinematography and music is the best out of any reality tv show I've ever seen! OMG. HBO: well job. Bring on more POC/queer representation please.
