You'll see this offering from motorbike trek pals actor Ewan McGregor and presenter Charley Boorman as either the welcome return of a cheerful distraction or the unnecessary reminder of celebrity privilege. I lean to the former. Go to Full Review

It never hurts that one of them bears an incredibly recognizable face, but even without that familiarity, Long Way Up proves an entertaining ride. Go to Full Review

Up has a feeling akin to catching up with old friends after a long gap and it quickly reminds you of what you enjoyed about spending time in the company of these two best mates. Go to Full Review

Diane B @BklynWriter Dec 27 I generally give this series a five star but am subtracting half a star for the overdone conceit of taking electric bikes across a continent that's not equipped to charge those bikes. It introduced tension for the wrong reasons and it eliminates the possibility of doing much interesting off-road terrain. Instead your anxiety is rising as you see the battery draining while cruising along on the highway. Who needs that? But the buddy elements of the movie remain strong. And it's especially poignant to realize that Charlie and Ewan lost touch for years. Good news: Ewan seems married to someone who's a true partner. Life changes. See more Cory Z 02/18/2025 Long way up is absolutely awful and it saddens me to watch it. It's so hard to stomach the show with this agenda to push electric garbage vehicles nobody, especially motorcyclists, want. The show had a massive budget and it shows just like all the other Hollywood crap made nowadays. It is not the adventure show or experience that long way round and long way down were. The constant commercial for Rivian & HD & "the environment" has Ewan tap dancing like a massive soyboy sellout and you can tell from the start that Charlies spirit is crushed at the concept. True fans of lwr & lwd should expect to have their heart broken. See more Jonathan J 02/02/2025 As with the previous shows with Charley and Evan I really enjoyed this series Long Way Up. I am not a rider, but in someway feel I am watching the shows. Great friendship, scenic highlights and banter. Reconmend . See more Lefty L 12/21/2024 so dumb. green energy is such a ginormous scam. problem aint fossil fuel - its kkkapitalism, stupid. anyway, 2 stars just cos latinamerica is so damn gorgeous. gracias a dios naci en latinamerica See more Kasper K 08/23/2024 Very disappointing after watching the original first one. So much talk about technical issues, charging bikes and almost nothing about local culture... and during the last few episodes Ewan and Charley all but disappear - we rarely see them and it's suddenly all about the film crew, and the story completely falls apart - they even spend an entire episode showing them rigging up an entire bus and then just dumping it at the American border without explaining anything. They don't even do the daily diary videos anymore as in the first episodes - honestly it feels like rich kids on expensive prototype bikes, not really having any real challenges, not really connected with people along the way. Really badly directed this one - shallow, empty - don't know what happened. See more Jules G 03/09/2024 They do everything except ride motorcycles. See more Read all reviews
