Based on the Walt Longmire mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson, this contemporary crime drama stars Australian actor Robert Taylor in the title role, the charismatic and dedicated sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyo. Longmire patrols the county with a brave face and sense of humor, but deep inside he hides the pain of his wife's recent death. With the urging of his daughter, Cady, and the help of Vic, a new female deputy, Longmire gains a new appreciation of his job and decides to run for re-election. He's committed to putting his life back together, one piece at a time, and he often calls on best friend and confidant Henry Standing Bear for support.

Even drove from PA to N.Central Wyo to visit Buffalo, buy a couple bumper stickers(LONGMIRE FOR SHERIFF), and soak in the excitement for the show, in '15. It breaks my heart to start to watch again, all new episodes for me(Eagle and Osprey?), and it is truly truly terrible! Perhaps I am too critical but it's soooooo sloooooow, poor Henry staked out in the sun for 10 min of the entire episode w no dialogue and . . . anyway, then the whole thing with Vic and Walt!?! WHAT? Just doesn't fit. Looks, feels, sounds and acts AWKWARD trying to watch them pull it off. He is a loner, Baby, a modern day mountain man, smart as a Grizzly and one helluva Sheriff, who gets it done. But Vic and him romantically involved? Not going to fly. This show is terrific by premise, the past Seasons were VERY well done and enjoyable to watch, but this latest Season is going to take our buddy Walt down the tubes, sadly. No punch. No spark.
