"Love, Victor" is set in the world of the groundbreaking movie, "Love, Simon," which was inspired by Becky Albertalli's acclaimed young adult novel, "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda," about a closeted gay teenager who is forced to come out after being blackmailed. The series stars Michael Cimino as Victor, who, like Simon, is on his own journey of self-discovery. Facing challenges at home, navigating the ups and downs of a new high school and exploring his sexual orientation, Victor reaches out to Simon when things become too difficult.

Last episode was pretty sparse, but this time, we’ve got a bit of everything. Go to Full Review

The treacly sweetness of the series continues to be its most palatable feature precisely because the show’s goal has always been as much about didacticism as it has been about entertainment. Go to Full Review

Love, Victor is aware of its lane and it’s pleasantly happy to stay on cruise control for its last set of episodes. That might sound like I’m being sarcastic, but “approachable high school fairy tale” is a vibe, and they’re right to ride it. Go to Full Review

Love, Victor is a satisfying if somewhat predictable series. Along with some fine performances, the show has slick production values and solid pacing and the writers have a great ear for authentic-sounding dialogue. Go to Full Review

Love, Victor embraces melodrama, compressing years worth of life into a fairly short period. Go to Full Review

Even though it forces a few emotional detours, it concludes satisfactorily and doesn't unnecessarily stretch its narrative. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

SkyRo P @TheMovieSearch 01/06/2024 #TvReview #LoveVictor #DisneyPlus This a coming out show about a young man who has to deal with the negativity of his mother. The coach being negative to the student because "jocks" the "team doesn't want you changing with them anymore so use solo room" This is sad because all this stuff this boys going through is what people in real life deal with. Also follows a girl who lies about her age to college guy which is what happens in real life. This is scary because this happens in real life. This tackles real life issues with parents, students, and life. This show is based off Love, Simon and Josh Duhamel appears in season 2 the dad of Simon. He's running PFLAG and it's great to see the support. #LoveISLove See more Johann D. M @Johann33 07/18/2023 🏳️‍🌈 HEARTWARMING AND IDEALISTIC!! In this season, although they are still in their junior year, Victor, and his friends and family alike find themselves in certain situations and make some tough, yet life-changing decisions for their future outside of Creekwood. Even if it was a bit rushed and shorter than the first two seasons, each character had their time in the spotlight and had a wonderful and perfect development and ending. Perhaps the conclusion for the main characters Victor and Benji may be cheesy and convenient, but that doesn't make it less heartwarming and sweet for a couple you can't help but root for. The predictability was improved, and it was very entertaining and binge-worthy in general, but some storylines just don't make much sense and continue to be unrealistic. It really needed more episodes! See more 08/08/2022 So disjointed and fractured. Yikes. See more 07/30/2022 I am really going to miss "Love, Victor." So many of the characters are likable. Michael Cimino is so genuine and sweet as Victor. I hope this is the beginning of a long career. I know it's kind of after-school special with gay kissing, but "Love, Victor" drew me it. I couldn't stop watching, eager to see what happened next. And I teared up many times. I'm also glad that they ended the series properly. Wrapped up a little too neatly, but there's closure. See more Cass F @Bobfhater 07/10/2022 The thing is…it's technically very all-over-the-place, but almost everything I wanted to happen happened and it was very relieving to finally watch a show ending that didn't leave me wanting more or leave me with mixed emotions about how things ended off. Couples I didn't really like in season 2 I began to like in season 3 and I'm glad Benji and Victor ended up together See more Kevin M 07/09/2022 The season had some unnecessary drama, but it went along with the feel-good foundation that the series started with (as did the movie). What was good about the season is the development of characters besides Victor and Benji (who were as likeable as ever). It was nice to see the entire cast develop. See more Read all reviews
