SEASON:

Season 1
Made for Love

Critics Consensus

Made for Love's satirical riffs on technology are undeniably clever, but the most valuable special effects in this twisty odyssey are Cristin Milioti's charisma and comedic timing.

Made for Love is fantastic! It is very original, quirky and even surprising at times. It is superbly written and gripping with great acting performances, especially the three leads (Cristin Milioti, Ray Romano & Billy Magnussen). This series is so refreshingly different! I had not heard anything about Made for Love until a friend recommended it, and I'm so glad she did. This is a hidden gem on HBO Max!

I ran into this show by recognizing Cristin Milioti's face on the poster, who I remembered from an excellent episode of Black Mirror. Having a huge crush on Cristin, I HAD to watch it, no matter what it was. I was pleasantly surprised to find this show interesting, unique, thought-provoking, and funny! Cristin caries this show like the total pro that she is. She is an excellent actress with great range, comedic timing, and equally convincing with comedy as she is in dramatic moments. Her face and especially her big brown eyes convey emotion so well that you cant help but keep your eyes glued to her no matter who else is in the frame. But that's not to say the the supporting actors aren't valuable as well, they are. Ray Romano is perfect as Herbert, Hazel's recluse, "pervert" father. Billy is convincing as Hazel's sociopathic, conniving, sleaseball husband. I cant wait for more of season 2 and truly hope this show goes for 5+ seasons!

Interesting theme and decent acting, but the pacing is too slow and script is not funny. I was more bored than entertained.

This show is ridiculous in a good way. Great acting in this darkly funny show.

Made For Love entailed a blend between Black Mirror and Marriage Story. Whilst there were some minor pacing issues, the cast and high stakes really kept me invested and interested in what came next. The world space the director paints portrays a dystopian mind melding tech infiltrating allusion. To sum it up the show is F*cked up... In a good way. 100% worth the watch, can't wait for season 2

Overall a good show. I knew better than to have my wife watch it with me, as she'd spend all her time angry with the Byron character. Ray Romano taught us you can still find love, even if you have to take it everywhere with a dolly. Will Mark Zuckerberg sue over this? Time will tell. We will probably get a season 2. Looking forward to it.

It is certainly unusual, in a good way. The concept is original, albeit dysfunctional marriage and emotional abuse are not. However, it constantly felt like underperforming, falling short of its own potential. The season's finale was somewhat anticlimactic and disappointing.

Binge watched...loved it! Story engaging..actors were great...Ray Romano brings gruff humanity..
  • Jun 08, 2021
Not what I was expecting. Quirky. Original. Funny at times, though mostly a dark humor. Great acting, even by Diane who never broke character 😁. I'll be bummed if HBO Max doesn't bring bring it back for another season.

really cute! I hope there's a second season.
