In the end, Making It is an aggressively nice series, aiming to celebrate the fun of making something from nothing, and Amy and Nick, as hosts, lean hard into the theme.

Audience Reviews for Making It: Season 1

I love Amy Poehler. I love Nick Offerman. The two of them on this show were absolutely cringeworthy. Whomever is responsible for writing the ridiculous dialogue the actors were forced to infuse with energy should be fired. The stuff the contestants made was neat to see. I found myself fast forwarding through the hosts anytime they spoke. It felt like they were playing characters instead of themselves.

This show is amazing!! Amy and Nick are the best host duo ever. They are so funny. Also just love how all the contestants help each other when doing crafts. That’s not something you ever see in any competition show. This is an all-around feel good show
