June Shannon -- better known as "Mama June" -- gained fame as the mother of young beauty pageant contestant Honey Boo Boo on various reality shows. With that notoriety came jokes from comedians and people on social media about her weight. Coming off the end of her marriage to Sugar Bear and facing health issues, Mama June wants to do something about her weight and slim down so she can start a new life with a new body and, she hopes, a new love. Any attempt at losing weight is challenging and requires a strong support system. For Mama June, that includes now-preteen Honey Boo Boo, daughter Pumpkin and lifelong friend Big Mike. In addition to undergoing a series of surgeries, Mama June undertakes an intense workout routine led by drill sergeant-style trainer Kenya Crooks to help shed the pounds.
