first four seasons, I investedand and liked it. Last season progressively got stupid and dumb. Only reason I finished was to get it over with. waste of time.

Everything looks forced. All the stereotyped characters. And also quite predictable.

One thing that you have to do, is try to not compare this to Sons of Anarchy. I mean yes, it's by the same director, and it's in the same setting/world etc. But, what I appreciate about Mayans, is that it tries to take a different approach to the life. And not just be a simple sequel. In my opinion, this has a bit more of a 'serious' approach, rather than one that's full of action and drama. Although in saying that, that's not to say that there isn't any tasty bits that happen along the way. It was a bit of a slow start for me. But as I progressed through, it started to get really quite gripping. I tried hard to stick to it after watching the first few episodes, and I'm glad that I did. Another thing that I enjoy, is that you get to see some familiar faces - whoever is left alive from SOA anyway. So, it has that sort of familiarity that can help get you hooked when watching. I recommend you giving this a try. I really liked it, and I can't wait to carry on through the other seasons. But, take it with a pinch of salt. I'd say that is one of those series that you either love, or hate. And please, don't try and compare it to SOA. Although one thing I really would have liked more of, was less 'talky talky', and more action.

It's funny how it is basically the same show as Sons but now it's Mexicans. The director still uses the same format and for every other episode plays a song for the last 3 minutes of the show while something dramatic or violent happens.

Really terrible. Poor quality cliche ridden sexist and wallowing in violence. Why does the BBC spend money on this poor quality Amercian rubbish. The USA produces lots of good quality well written drama serials. What is the point of buying this amateur product?

The first three episodes were good and kind of interesting. With a leading man who is a traitor and informer for the DEA and of course has a relationship with the old lady from the cartel ... well. In the end, it's just a copy of Sons of Anarchy with no really new Ideas. By the way... the cast with Olmos, Pino and Rivera is excellent

As always audience score is more precise than critic ratings. This TV show has ties with "Sons of Anarchy" TV show which was a beautiful masterpiece. Sadly, I can't say same about this TV show. It's totally opposite - very dull, boring and slow. It's hard to believe that both TV shows were created from the same creator.

The cast is competent. The production quality is a cut above most shows. The only problem is with this first season. Sons of Anarchy had personal drama first and plot second. The result was you fell in love with the characters first which made you find the plot all the more intriguing. Mayan's MC jumps straight into the plot. You don't really get a sense of who the characters are before you know what the season's plot is going to be. The result is it takes you longer to really fell invested in the outcome of the situations they get into. It's worth the wait though. This is a great show, it just jumped the gun a little. Stick with it and you will be rewarded.
