Tv Season Info

In the third series of this comedy, Lennox (Taylor Spreitler) begins a serious relationship with a boy named Zander (Sterling Knight), while Mel (Melissa Joan Hart) starts dating Austin (Trevor Donovan), her old childhood friend. Mel also gets to reconnect with her sister, Meredith (Jaime Pressly), who's granted a prison furlough to spend Christmas with Lennox and Ryder (Nick Robinson). Still holding a grudge against Meredith and her husband for ruining his career, Joe (Joey Lawrence) makes no effort to hide his ill will toward Meredith—yet this doesn't faze her at all. Joe gets to reunite with his own family when he heads to New Jersey for a birthday bash for his grandmother (Doris Roberts). Afraid that news of his divorce might harm the elderly woman's health, he pretends he's still married and has Mel pose as his wife. Guest stars include Tim Conway, Elizabeth Berkley and Tamera Mowry.

Melissa & Joey shouldn't work, and yet it continues to, racking up the episodes and providing two child stars turned teen stars with a second act in another multi-camera sitcom.
