Losing one's memory is a devastating hammer blow for anyone, but for Angelo, the stakes couldn't be higher. His hit man job would be perilous enough, but there's an added pressure: Angelo lives two totally separate lives -- fearsome NYC hitman, and sleepy upstate Cooperstown photocopier salesman and father. Having built and maintained a brick wall between his two worlds, Angelo has seamlessly juggled and compartmentalized for years. But now that's all about to change, because Alzheimer's is a foe he can't outrun, and he knows too well how this ends, as his older brother is already lost to the condition.

...the tenson is oddly bland and Dempsey is not suited to the professional killer role, especially when paired with Sopranos star Michael Imperioli as Angelo’s handler. Go to Full Review

Without actors as talented and charming as Dempsey and Imperioli, it would be entirely forgettable. Their powerful, charismatic presence, however, suggest this is worth sticking with beyond the two-night premiere. Go to Full Review

A disappointingly flat take on its inherited premise. Angelo may be a killer, but the show he leads sure isn’t. Go to Full Review

More than just an action vehicle, [the series] is Dempsey's attempt to redefine his acting range and finally break free from the television shadow that made him an icon. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

This dark and somewhat bland double-life thriller offers an improbable but mildly entertaining narrative that centers on the evolving tension between Angelo Doyle's two lives. Go to Full Review

Memory of a Killer‘s bifurcated identities – introspective family drama and hitman thriller – struggle to coalesce, making the Patrick Dempsey-led adaptation feel like a very sleek, sterilized, and flat drama just begging for a sense of personality. Go to Full Review

Joey B @RT92268218 Apr 24 This Show Surprised Us! These Actors have made their Comeback, because this Show is like watching a Blockbuster Movie with Action, Mystery and Excitement. You will love this Show. Without all the F words that keep our kids from watching it with us. It’s Perfect really. Don’t listen to the Nay sayers who chase big movie stars and blood Cult Directors. This Show is BETTER than their Garbage. 10/10 See more Simone R @RT40788529 Apr 22 Intensity and action are good, and Dempsey does a great job. But apart from Episode 9, the writing is generally bad, with the sensation that everything could be fake. Acting is mediocre, apart from Angelo and Dutch. The charatchers of Maria and his husband are terrible. 3 stars only because it could be funny to watch due to a generally fast and intense action See more Zane M. @RT31220546 Apr 18 This is an amazing show. All the actors are amazing, but especially Patrick Dempsey as Angelo. This show starts as one show and immediately by the end of the 1st episode it is a completely different show. Now that’s good show making. I love the mystery and the reveal in Episode 8 is so unpredictable, it’s just amazing. The story is so compelling and is a great overarching story. I love Angelo’s conflict with his “Memory of a Killer” that gets really bad in the last 1/3 of the season and it got me scared for his safety and just memory. This show has so many twists and turns and um expected reveals. If you love shows where you never know what is happening next this is an amazing one to watch. See more Mone C @Mone77 Apr 10 I loved the show. Just the right amount of suspense, great cast, good script, Patrick Dempsey perfect in the role of the hitman. I thought the plot twist about the main character's Alzheimer's disease and its implications for his profession as a hitman was interest. See more Darryl A @RT88490720 Apr 9 I've watched three episodes and it is OK at best. I know you have to suspend belief for shows like this as there is no way he gets away with what he does in the modern world, but this show is extreme in that regard. Also the support cast isn't great, and through these episodes the memory loss hardly seems to matter. Maybe it gets better, but there are so many other, better, things to watch that I'm done with it. See more Garry A @heavyg Apr 5 Patrick Dempsey makes this show worth watching. It would have been better if it were shorter in length, 6-8 episodes. The reveal of who protagonist towards the end is a good OMG moment. See more Read all reviews
