Stephen C @bob25009 Jun 29 8 successful episodes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more Rudy A @RT31870702 09/30/2023 I love Hector Lozano. Throughout three seasons of "Merli" and two of this sequel, he created rich characters and placed them in beautiful scenes that juxtaposed thinking and feeling. That said, even with brilliant María Pujalte doing seriously heavy-lifting drama wise, this second season of "Merli Sapere Aude" was too much like an afterschool special devoted to AIDS. With Bruno and his grandmother (played by delightful Anna M. Barbany) gone, this season has a definite charm deficit magnified by Bruno growing up to be seriously insufferable. Like his lustful high school teacher Merli, ethics are not Pol's strong point. He is emotionally abusive, and everyone just puts up with it. If nothing else, Pol finally comes to appreciate his father, but seriously, this story line is just too shallow and predictable. It breaks my heart to give a three star rating to the last season of this five star series, but Hector's heart didn't seem to be in it either. See more heinrich a @RT78243392 01/01/2023 I love the subtle struggle for life that shapes the strong characters in this second season. The loose coexistence of the group of students and the resentment of the university teachers towards each other produces absurd situations, funny dialogues and deep seriousness...great mix, great aesthetics and great background music See more gordon b @RT55212799 10/21/2022 CARLOS CUEVAS rules in the second season of Merli. The philosophy themes blend perfectly-- creator and writer Hector Lozano along with director Menna Fite, makes the series rise to the rafters. See more andrew k @Andrewjp 10/10/2022 One could write a long " review" about this series . To me it is best described as a beautiful Spanish series with all the diverse characters so well portrayed by the various actors. Humour, adventure, up and downs, the lives of philosophy students at a Barcelona university . Enriched by the beautiful music , I cannot recommend this series enough. Once you have ended the 2nd series , remember the scene " Dad, you are my prize" . See more Sean Patrick N @RT11823322 09/23/2022 Season 2 has minor flaws in that some characters are simply gone, but at the same time the show seems to take that approach as showing how fragile connections can be. Pol's journey as well as Bolaño's are intense and while I wished for more of all this, more episodes, more seasons, the ending was half dreamed and half realistic and can stand as it is.
