Jerry B @jez987 5 days ago The first three episodes might have led nicely towards a potential mass psychosis, murder or intrigue, until their completion when MM became yet another vampire/zombie story. The acting and cinematography are first class (five stars for those), but the plot leaves us suspending our common sense hastily. "Disorganized" religion is not quite used as the usual punchbag by the writers, but still takes a counter intellectual battering. MM is highly captivating and my bet is that close to 100% will watch it to the end and be moved by it. The meaning and extent of love is a question that this film elicits. But when will it be that vampire films run out of road? I suggest substituting AI for vampirism. There must be space between a "Terminator" and an "Invasion of the body snatchers" type plot for something intelligent and critical of our capitalist lack of leadership regarding control of AI and the consequences thereof.
