"The Phineas and Ferb Effect" works equally well for fans of Milo Murphy's Law and fans of Phineas and Ferb, even if you're familiar with one and not the other.

Audience Reviews for Milo Murphy's Law: Season 2

The second season of Milo is very exciting with great moments and a great end of the season satisfactory, the only thing that is not as glorious as the first season... with unnecessary characters and relies heavily on Phineas and Ferb.

The second season of this cartoon, about a middle schooler who attracts chaos and destruction wherever he goes, remains fun but not as much as the first season. The writing remains smart and the cast's personalities diverse and likable. Again they manage to weave in an overarching plot, this time involving aliens, beneath the individual shenanigans. Although, it isn't quite as strong as the previous season's. Weird Al Yankovich does a great job as Milo Murphy. Although he uses his basic voice, he's surprisingly good at fitting a persona, and I would forget it's him. Animation remains colorful. The biggest issue with this season is that it adds Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb. Now don't get me wrong, I loved him in his original show and consider him one of the top funny villains of all time. But here, he draws too much focus. A lot less time is spent at Milo's school with his classmates and the absence was felt. Doofenshmirtz just doesn't fit in. Even his character design differs. He had a nice send-off at the end of Phineas and Ferb and his story should have ended with that. However, his creators are just too fond of him. They did not one but two backdoor pilots for the guy during that show. They need to kill their darling and focus on their new content. Overall, I was still entertained with this. It's good-natured fun for your children.
