TOMATOMETER

Critic Consensus: With only a mildly interesting premise, Mind Games leaves viewers with few reasons to continue playing.

Critic Reviews for Mind Games Season 1

While individual characters have whimsical moments, the show as a whole never feels like it wants to have any fun.

Mind Games' unbalanced pilot makes it pretty clear which part of the show Killen actually cares about. I admire him for wanting to give us our vegetables. But I also don't blame viewers for wanting more meat.

The most unlikely development of all -- in terms of behavior modification -- would be persuading more than a relative handful of viewers to watch Mind Games from week to week. Nah. Ain't gonna happen.

It's the promise of a more complex dynamic between the two [Ross & Clark] that could make Mind Games more than a pleasant diversion, and allow Slater and Zahn, two very capable actors, to dig a little deeper into these roles.

Mind Games is a frothy and fun procedural, though it has a tendency to get overly schmaltzy when the characters become emotionally attached to their clients.

At its heart, Mind Games is a case-of-the-week procedural with some serialized elements, but it's so dense with chatter there may be no mind tricks strong enough to convince viewers to stay tuned.

An interesting premise, but the execution is meh

Mind Games has all the ingredients for a great series, blending humor and drama, cleverly solved predicaments, and adding in a layer of compassion and humanity that gives this series heart.

I am not at all in the bag for Mind Games. There's no bag. Mind Games, is an off-putting misfire.
