What's frustrating about Mindhunter season 2 is that it's just as good, if not better than, season 1, but that it feels both unfinished and unfulfilling.

The politics and racial discussions in the show are thoughtful, even if they are somewhat cynical. The supporting characters take over the show, and it's for the better.

By yanking [Holden Ford] into season 2, a story with more nuance and care than he seems capable of, the series holds a mirror to the revered concept of the callous genius.
