The second and seemingly final season continued the trend of great character development, fun mobile suit battles and interesting politics, all with great animation and a dramatic OST. Hard to find much fault, beyond some storylines feeling rushed... Go to Full Review

Witch B @Witchblous 5d This show had everything going for it — That's what makes it so disappointing when none of it pays off. Season 1 patiently builds a slow-burn dynamic through school politics and duels. Season 2 abandons that structure entirely — timelines jump, relationships get gutted, motivations reshuffle overnight. Threads that seemed essential, like the Spacian-Earthian conflict and the corporate intrigue around GUND-ARM tech, get gestured at and rushed to a close. The characters take the biggest hit. Suletta starts as a compelling protagonist with real direction, but her arc keeps getting interrupted to serve plot mechanics instead of earning her transformation. Miorine gets flashes of agency, then vanishes for stretches. Side characters get built up, then shelved once they've served their function. Even the mecha fights feel inconsistent — some land, others just move pieces around with stakes that evaporate by episode's end. A show that lost its nerve. See more John M @N3v3rmore 6d The second season is a bit of a step down, but I overall enjoyed it. As the conflict progresses throughout the season, it shifts from competitive duels to straight-up battles that add much more consequence to the story. I liked how the main cast is broken down, to then evolve into more resolute versions of themselves. If there is one significant criticism to give, it’s the episodes before and taking place during the season’s climax; the pacing kinda comes to a halt, before then rushing into resolving the main threat of the series. The epilogue I was surprisingly okay with, as much of what’s seen does have ample build-up throughout the season despite my mixed feelings towards the finale. I just had an overall good time with this show, and I’ll likely come back to it at some point in the future. See more Erick Israel H @RT05770211 6d The show is extremely overhyped by people online. I would not recommed it to anyone.. there are better gundam shows than this one. See more Lazarus B @LazarusBlous May 27 The Witch from Mercury: Gundam’s Most Overhyped Flop They promised a fresh, bold new Gundam with a school setting, strong female lead, and yuri undertones. What we got was a flashy but hollow mess that collapses under its own weight. The first half is decent eye candy with some fun mecha fights, but the story is a disjointed disaster. Characters are introduced then immediately sidelined, major plot threads go nowhere, and the ending is one of the most rushed, unsatisfying conclusions in recent anime history. All the social commentary feels shallow and performative, while the "romance" is barely there. A visually slick Gundam that squanders its potential and wastes your time. Stick to the classic entries. This one’s a pretty disappointment. See more Homu L @AkemiLord May 3 Fantastic movie. I really enjoyed watching this. Great film! See more erick H @RT79329094 Apr 18 It opens with a killer prologue full of tragedy, forbidden tech, and revenge. It follows naive Suletta Mercury at a corporate space high school, dueling for power, marriage, and control while her mom Prospera schemes in the shadows. Season 1 delivers solid intrigue and character moments. Season 2? Total collapse. The writers cram a 50-episode revenge epic — mass murder, identity twists, Quiet Zero apocalypse, corporate war — into just 12 episodes. Everything rushes by in a blur of asspulls, abandoned subplots, and sudden "power of friendship" fixes. Suletta gets reduced to a reactive puppet, big themes fizzle out, villains go flat or get oddly redeemed, and the ending time-skip slaps on a toothless happy bow that betrays Gundam's usual bite. The mecha fights look great and the wives are cute, but no amount of pretty animation saves a story that sprints to the finish while tripping over its own hype. Promising setup, pathetic payoff.
