Karl Alberg moves to the idyllic coastal town of Gibsons to become the new police chief and soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work. Unfortunately, the gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets, and Karl needs to call upon all the skills that made him a world-class detective in solving the murders that, even in this seemingly idyllic setting, continue to wash up on his shore. Cassandra, a local librarian, becomes Alberg's muse, foil and romantic interest. The show is based on the Edgar Award-winning, nine-book "Karl Alberg" series by acclaimed novelist L.R. Wright.

As long as the mysteries are serviceable and Cassandra and Karl’s romance doesn’t get buried under murders and politics, Season 2 of Murder In A Small Town should be as fun to watch as Season 1 was. Go to Full Review

Lisa Frances J @RT56599985 Jan 13 Continuing to enjoy this series. Hoping it gets a 3rd Season 🤞. See more tm11999 M @tm11999 Dec 28 childless kristin kreuk still has the figure of a 20 year old and is cute as a bug dick. donald sutherlands boy knows and sees all. they solve murders and still find time to do the hunka chunka. watch this. See more brett m @bretthi Dec 18 I tried this so many times and it is so cheaply made it goes in and out from looking like a soap opera even if you have motion smoothing turned off. The acting is just so bad at times...oh well See more Karin Y @RT75913036 Dec 2 I realize Murder in a Small Town's pacing is different from many police procedurals but in today's world it is nice to watch a gentle, intuitive, smart, empathic police chief who is easy on the eyes, Kristin Kreuk who is compelling and a fine actress and equally his match with real chemistry, and the other character actors are also quite good. I think this season is better than the first so they are finding their way and if given another season I expect the scripts will be more tightly edited. I can enjoy Dept Q some nights but also like a bit less stress other nights. See more Clay M @RT82884275 Nov 12 I plowed through most of season one, but gave up toward the end of the season. But I decided to give it another try with season two. I could only get about 10 minutes in before giving up again. My main problem is that the two lead actors have absolutely no chemistry with each other. It is just not "believable." They simply don't seem like a real couple, and Kristin Kreuk is totally overacting. She might do better in a hallmark movie. I just can't take it. See more Linda M @Linda1216 Nov 10 I love anything that comes out of Canada. Take that Trump , kind thoughtful, everything that America isn’t anymore.. See more Read all reviews
