"My Demon" is further proof that K-drama writers enjoy inserting the marriage-contract trope into as many shows as possible -- including one that deals with a demon (Song Kang) & an heir apparent (Kim Yoo-jung). The cast is charming, but the plot falters. Go to Full Review

Crass commerce and odious opportunism ripple throughout this product. To call it anything else seems misleading – the closest it came to being a show was as a fashion show. Go to Full Review

When the build up to the romance isn’t keeping me glued to the screen, it’s Kim Yoo-jung’s effortless performance as an exceptionally intelligent woman, who’s achingly aware of how alone she is in her world. Go to Full Review

The leads of My Demon are charming, but the story is so sprawling and convoluted, and the tone so all over the place, that we just could not engage with the story or characters at all. Go to Full Review

Since this drama I have mabye watched already over 30 other kdramas!! See more Ezaj H @ezajhossain22 Apr 21 My Demon' was such an enjoyable ride! This fantasy romance sets up an intriguing premise: an arrogant demon loses his powers after an encounter with a successful but distrustful heiress, leading them into a mutually beneficial, if chaotic, contract relationship. What makes this drama shine is the fantastic dynamic between the main characters. Song Kang embodies the charming yet vulnerable demon perfectly, and Kim Yoo-jung is compelling as the capable heiress trying to survive in a cutthroat world. Their interactions are the core of the show, evolving in a way that feels earned and engaging. The production value is excellent, with beautiful cinematography and styling. While the plot mixes familiar tropes (contract marriage, enemies-to-lovers), it does so with flair and adds its unique demonic twist. It skillfully balances moments of humour, genuine romantic tension, and underlying danger. If you enjoy strong leads, stunning visuals, and a solid fantasy-romance plot, give 'My Demon' a try! See more Sayesha S 01/29/2025 Absolutely the main reason to watch the drama is the charming main leads Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung, who were so perfect onscreen and easy on eyes. The story may be quiet cliched at some place but yeah the emotional moments were greatly portrayed by the characters which were tearjerker, the funny moments were good too. And ofcourse, the fashion sense of the main leads were top notch. Overall it's a witty and cynical fantasy type of romcom. Take it as a fantasy!!! See more Robin Z 01/22/2025 I loved the lead, Song Sang, in another K Drama called Navillera. (Kim Tae-hoon was in that one too, and far better in it, than in this debacle, what with all the maniacal laughing he does). I've loved All of Us Are Dead, Move to Heaven, Crash Landing on You, Mr. Queen, and anything with Park Eun Bin, who is one of the greatest actors in the world. (She really is!). I say these things to let you know, person reading this, that I am a fan of good K Dramas. This one though, was really terrible. The acting was fine, particularly Li Sang-Yi (see him in Bloodhounds if you want a fun, well made action series), but the story was disjointed, and it was also a giant commercial (every time a character ate one of the coffee products, he or she would say, 'this really wakes me up!' So cringey!) But worse, the side 'funny stories' were painfully unfunny. Like the poorly played drunk scene with Kim Yoo Jung and her assistant, and the obnoxious gang that followed Song Kang's Devil around to serve him (they got FAR too much screen time, and didn't even elicit a chuckle from me. On the contrary, it hurt to watch them), and the assistant to Song Kang, who never met a moment he couldn't over-act, it was truly awful stuff. Now, the leads were gorgeous, but that's really not enough. And (SPOILER) -- if I found out my beloved father was in Hell, you could bet I'd tell my husband, THE DEVIL, to get him out. But it didn't even cross her mind. And even if 'that's not how it worked', the writers had no trouble making his power work well or fail miserably, whenever it conveniently served the plot. So, they really could have done anything. She should have tried saving her father. Any loving daughter would. Kudos to Cha Chung-hwa. I've seen her be great in a lot of things. She was great here, too. But even in her storyline, they changed the rules of what could be, just to suit the story. It was all bad writing. I wasted my time with this one. But again, everyone was beautiful and wore incredible clothes. See more Read all reviews
