Critic Reviews for Nashville Season 2

All Critics (9) | Top Critics (4)

This show is strongest when it focuses on character interaction, so consider me a happy camper.

Feb 25, 2019 | Full Review…

No doubt a tolerance for Carrie Underwood-style country-pop is essential to your enjoyment of Nashville but every now and then the show features a performance so good it transcends genre preference.

A good but uneven season.

Feb 25, 2019 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

Hayden Panettiere has fortunately kept every shimmering facet of her young country diva intact, so that she is still domineering, manipulative, in denial, and finally, achingly vulnerable.

Here we are with series two, and it's as deliriously cheesy and melodramatic as ever.

Jul 23, 2018 | Full Review…

Goodness gracious, Nashville, I've missed you so!

Oct 30, 2013 | Full Review…

I'm still enjoying the new and improved Scarlett 2.0 and, like Gunnar, I didn't know she could look that good either. That's supposed to be a compliment.

Oct 10, 2013 | Full Review…

"I Fall to Pieces" was a great start to the year, servicing each of our favorite characters well and highlighting the stories of a couple of new series regulars along the way.

Sep 26, 2013 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

This was a solid episode that wrapped up a lot of last season's loose ends, despite a few cheesy moments, and it looks like Nashville has a tumultuous, dramatic season to come.

Audience Reviews for Nashville: Season 2

  • Jul 09, 2017
Nashville season 2 counts with charming original country musics and with the same charismatic cast to please our ears. However the plot could have been more sofisticated and the story less predictable.
  • May 10, 2017
love it, i keep rewatching it again and agian
  • May 26, 2014

  • Apr 27, 2014
Love the music, the stories and the actors. Great show!

Season 2: In this season that was so powerful, mind-blowing drama. After watching some of the episode you are literally want to see what going to happen in the next episode.
  • Nov 21, 2013
I loved this show last season, story was strong, characters were relatable & the Deacon+Rayna storyline kept me watching but this season is awful, story lines dropped without notice, Gunnar's storyline is lame & boring, hardly any music, & Deacon's lawyer girlfriend & the cheesy Luke Wheeler character all just make me sad - if it carries on like this I'm tuning out
  • Nov 21, 2013
Season 1 was better. Too much jumping beds for me. Connie is a good actress. Scarlet is my favorite character with the best accent.
