It was a rough introductory season and not really any over-arching theme for it, but it set it up pretty well overall and I do like to watch Scott Bakula on screen. 1st seasons are always rough for a show as people fit into the roles, overall a decent season for an NCIS spin off
      • Feb 29, 2020
Well set up spinoff with a fascinating location, but characters seem less charismatic than NCIS or NCIS LA
      • Jan 08, 2019
I like it, I wasn't so sure at first needed some a few episodes to, I had my apprehensions about Scott Bakula but he is well suited to the role and I've enjoyed it with a good mix of charectors

Horrible cast and ridiculous barn headquarters with bay doors where everyone has access to the records, evidence, and the cast. The annoying CSI technician tries to be more annoying than NCIS' Abby and Criminal Minds' Garcia all in one.
      • Jan 18, 2016
I don't like NCIS, or NCIS: Los Angeles, and I don't like this show. I'm done watching anything with NCIS written on it.
      • Jun 11, 2015
For a first season, it's not too bad. There were some character and story issues that needed a good fix and the fake accents... ...ugh. Don't get me started. If you're expecting a team like Gibbs and his crew, you'll be disappointed. Instead, look at this series on its own and see how you like it. I think it has potential. Let's see if they improve from here or start digging its grave towards cancellation.

In my view by far the weakest of the franchise. It comes across as very much an advert for 'good old New Orleans'; which maybe was acceptable for the opening scene-setting episode, but not thereafter. We now get the idea - it's set in New Orleans. We don't need Lucas Black's over the top accent and the continuous food obsession (Gumbo, grits, grits, gumbo....); we get it - you eat!! So does the rest of the world. If the scripts are so weak they need all this 'travelogue' padding, then better scriptwriters are needed. With the cast and pedigree behind this series, it should be on a par with it's stablemates. It isn't, and that's very disappointing.

At least they avoid the one member who's a former SEAL standard formula...which is the only standard cliche they avoid.

I have really enjoyed NCIS and NCIS LA. But this one is really poorly done. I grew up in New Orleans . . . and these people would NOT HAVE AN OFFICE in the French Quarter. The accents are awful. The frequent Quarter shoots are bogus. What the heck are they thinking? People who live in New Orleans come from all over. They would have done much better not to have these forced accents (oh, god how awful), and to use more of the city for location shoots. There are so many possible places. This comes off as less than two dimensional. Is it possible for there to be a one dimensional portrayal of something?

Do they really need to speak in hilly billy parlance?
