Neagley isn't Reacher and it uses that to its advantage to chart its own thrilling path towards action hero greatness.

Graeme Blundell The Australian Oct 6, 2026
Hill’s direction is classy, the fights are balletic fun, Santora and Wootton’s dialogue taut and specific, Sten’s terrific performances in tune with Child’s heightened sense of realism, and it will be a pleasure to discover more about Frances Neagley. Go to Full Review

What Neagley lacks in pure brawn, it makes up for with intimate character work and Maria Sten’s note-perfect performance. It doesn’t quite soar, but this spin-off has legs. Go to Full Review

As seen in Reacher, Neagley also has haphephobia, a hatred/fear of being touched, which forms the basis of her own secondary investigation into her foggy past. A perfunctory trauma plot that pads out the show. Go to Full Review

If Prime Video plays its cards right, Reacher and Neagley can keep having their own corners of the universe and build towards crossover events that bring Alan Ritchson and Maria Sten back together for years to come. Go to Full Review

Rick F @rick60 4 days ago Nice spin off series from Retcher See more G S @RT84332449 4 days ago This is Reacher versus the walking dead😩😩😩 I’m totally disappointed. Don’t waste your time See more Abs B @Abs_B 6 days ago 4.25 Maria Sten as usual plays the charachter of Neagley perfectly. She shows her vulnerable side perfectly too in this series which is different to the Reacher series. To be honest I liked all the team she builds around her and their acting is decent. The villains are typecast so you know as soon as you see them, but its not hidden at all. The action is almost on par with Reacher but obviuosly not on his level, but Neagley fights well as we've seen before. There are some big holes in the story but as there are no books to compare this too, hard to say if they have got anything wrong. I really enjoyed the ending and look forward to season 2. See more ARNEZ C @Arny6tearz Oct 24, 2026 This is how you do a show this is the best thing I've seen all year next Neagly knows how to separate herself in the pack how about a kick ass show this is it give me a season 2! See more Youthpasta T @RT39608097 Oct 21, 2026 The good things about Neagley are the styling (very much in the Reacher mould), a half-decent story and the performance of Maria Sten. The bad things are the complete disregard for doing the right thing half the time and how they butchered Neagley's dad's character. The way he killed the abuser was not some heroic act, it was a butchering, no matter how much the character may have deserved it. And then, having seen with our own eyes how he acted, we are expected to look at his actions positively. Also, I didn't like the looking into the reason Neagley doesn't like touching people. It is a fun quirk in Reacher, now it's a solved irrelevance that will seem very strange if referenced in the future. See more Nicole D @NickyD Oct 21, 2026 Like Reacher, this is action packed. Really good show, looking forward to season 2. See more Read all reviews
