Michael G Jan 7 There is a reason The Great British Bake Off is the gold standard of baking shows - modest, rustic, shining a spotlight on the authentic personalities of the contestants, while giving the actual baking (the star of the show), room to breath. Everything that GBBO is - this is not. A truly horrifically produced show in every sense of the word. Chaos, flooded with neon lights, hyperactive cameras, worthless artificial limitations, and YELLING. ENDLESS YELLING. This show is a nightmare, capable of nothing other than inducing headaches with precision. The personalities are fraudulent, the mentor Carla won't stop yelling, mentor Candace won't stop performing for the camera in what feels like her tenth take every time she's on camera, the contestant's personalities are either camera induced fraudulence, or not allowed to shine authentically. The baking is the only thing you DON'T get to see. The judgement exists as useless filler between judges, unhelpful, and not even directed at the bakers.
