On November 13th, 2022 – in the still of the night – four University of Idaho students are brutally stabbed to death in an off-campus house in the quiet college town of Moscow, Idaho. Within the devastated families and the community at large, questions and fear abound. What happened? Who did this, and could the killer be among us? And why these four young adults? The twists and turns of what happens next – an explosion of social media sleuthing, a cross-country manhunt, a dramatic arrest, and a looming trial – have made this crime one of the most high-profile stories of the last decade, capturing the country’s attention, imagination, and paranoia like almost no other case before it.

If the True Crime genre is going to avoid the stigma of exploitation that so often creatively derails it, it’s going to have to shift the focus from perpetrator to victim. “One Night in Idaho” is a step in the right direction. Go to Full Review

One Night in Idaho is the kind of true-crime series we ask for: one that humanizes the victims, explores the ripple effects of senseless violence, and never glorifies or romanticizes the murderer. Go to Full Review

Brian D @Brdnx1 Feb 10 This is one of the most on purpose, pull your heart-strings, utter nonsense. Interviews of no information no factual background no factual accounting just people’s emotions and yeah, they’re friends of the victims. There may be even family members of the victims, which is horrible for them, but there’s no facts it’s and then now that they’re releasing more information about this murders that were brutal. Nothing even matches what’s in this video? I mean this is how bad the media has corrupted us and we didn’t. We can’t even have critical facts for critical information in dire situations that demand justice and truth. See more splodge b @Lilbet Jan 3 The best thing about this documentary is that I walked away remembering the victims' names and forgot the name of the killer. It honored the victims and wasn't a story designed to entertain you with cheap theories and speculation. I spent my entire day thinking about the victims and how heartbreaking it must be for the people left behind. At times, I felt suspense and anxiety as though I was remembering this experience firsthand. That was powerful and captivating. It's rare to experience that through film. See more Heidi O @RT78977918 Nov 28 Short and to the point. See more Michael W @mawilps Sep 6 This crime docuseries was pretty good. The entire crew did a decent job on telling the story of the College murders at the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID. It was a little tedious, but pretty interesting to watch. If you haven't seen this docuseries yet, you might like it. I didn't like it as much as I hoped to, but it wasn't too bad. See more Max V @RT29212397 Aug 30 Unfortunately its too heavily focused on social media and cyber sleuth opinions instead of focusing on the victims and their families until the last episode, it certainly dragged across 4 episodes one of the poorly made docos not giving the respect needed to those affected. See more Chadd J @RT99579624 Aug 4 A very heartbreaking documentary. It is so sad to see all these families ripped apart because some loser doesn't think he is good enough for women because they are way too pretty. See more Read all reviews
