Critic reviews for The Few Who Dare
One great thing about Orphan Black is that you can always find the mysteries of a new season embedded right there at the beginning.
Even though our time with Cophine was short, we were still able to savor those brief moments with them.
This was a first good start to Orphan Black's final season. The writers kept up with the momentum from the previous season finale and heightened the drama for all of our favorite clones.
"The Few Who Dare" is a busy episode, and one meant to both remind the audience of where these characters were following last season's finalé, and set up the final episodes of the series. It accomplishes both.
Too little time with some of the touchstone performers like S, Felix, and the Hendrixes, as well as scattering most of Clone Club far away from one another, made this episode feel more like a communique than a welcome back to a world we love.
It seems as though the story of Orphan Black is more than ready to make good on wrapping things up once and for all. That makes for a remarkably fast-paced season premiere; one that pushes one particular plot thread through with satisfying results.
