I like the show. But how many times can one woman get raped in her life? This show is soft porn.

Love the books and really like the series. The actors are fantastic, sad that they have not received more recognition for the fine acting from Cat and Sam specifically!

Each season of Outlander has progressively gotten a tiny bit worse. This one is pretty bad. Every decision Jamie and Claire make seems just plain stupid and totally out of character. In just 8 short episodes we get a drug addict and an alcoholic (sick of that plot line in every show). It's very dark and the chemistry seems gone. The only good plot lines are Ian and the Cherokees and Lizzie and her twins. Hopefully season 7 will return with some action and adventure and what made this show great originally.

As a huge fan of the show for the first 5 seasons, this season was a massive disappointment. They tried to cram far too much into only 8 episodes, and most of those storylines were pretty worthless, if not entirely. The dialogue, even between Jamie and Claire, felt drastically different than any other season, and there was only one scene in all of season 6 that I actually enjoyed - and that was maybe 5 minutes, max. The opening 30 minutes of the first episode was an absolute waste of time, you might as well skip that entire flashback. And two of my biggest complaints - I thought they built up Ian's storyline well in season 5, only to then both reveal and resolve his trauma in only one episode. Check that box, done. Also, we sit through seemingly endless misery between Fergus and Marsali for about 3 episodes (which could've been portrayed much better), only to then have them move away from Fraiser's Ridge and not return for the rest of the season. So...what was the point. At least my disappointment with the decline of The Walking Dead was a slow burn until I finally dropped out - meanwhile the difference in the first 5 Outlander seasons and this one was a "flung off a cliff" type disappointment. Unless they can redeem themselves in season 7, I'll be dropping out of this one too.

The wife read the books long before the television series began, so it was a no brainer to watch the screen adaptation. I've never read the books, but I have joined her in watching the series. It is a time travel show, and that's enough for me. But, the truncated season 6 was outright awful. The writing has deteriorated, the actors are half stepping through their lines, and we couldn't stand it at all. The wife was mad as heck. We own all five seasons of the show in Blu Ray format. This is one season we will NOT be buying. And season 7 better right the ship, or we're saying goodbye.

love Outlander, but so disappointed with what they did with the shortened time of 8 episodes in season 6, it was all over the shop and way too much dark material, the start was confusing, the back stories were good, it did fill a lot of gaps, but took up a lot of space, Claire's visions and self doubts, and Malva's murder dragged on for too long with little relief or resolution from the dreary darkness of it all , don't know why they keep giving us Jamie's floggings and all the witch hunts against Claire, these have been done so many times in past episodes which makes them boring now, but will be a fan forever based on the early seasons, hoping for a humdinger in series 7

We are all big boys and girls. We don't need to watch naked people playing rumpy-pumpy several times per program. Enough already. I am not a prude, I just don't need my intelligence insulted. Is there an episode where rape is not at least mentioned??
