Episode Info

The fifth season of Oz opens with the crash of a school bus, then flashes back to show Father Mukada (B.D. Wong) bringing a group of visitors to the prison. Among the visitors are Hill's (Harold Perrineau Jr.) mother, Eugenia (Mary Alice), and Morales' sister, Annette (Delilah Cotto). Annette flirts with Mukada, until she's put off by his reaction to her decision to ask Morales to have her abusive husband killed. Also on the bus is Carrie Schillinger (Jenna Lamia). The DNA testing has been done on her baby, and now that they know Hank was the father, she's bringing the baby to see Schillinger (J.K. Simmons). Meanwhile, Governor Devlin (Zeljko Ivanek) is at Oz to re-open the parts of the prison that were destroyed in the explosion. Alvarez (Kirk Acevedo), White (Michael Wright), and the others get out of solitary while the air ducts are cleaned, and Glynn (Ernie Hudson) tells them they can stay in gen-pop if they behave. White tells McManus (Terry Kinney) he'll be good this time, but he still can't control his temper. Alvarez has to fend off Guerra (Otto Sanchez), who's still planning to kill him. Schillinger and Robson (R.E. Rodgers) plot revenge against the Muslims, while Said (Eamon Walker) has decided to plead guilty to attempted murder for shanking them. Sister Pete (Rita Moreno) asks Beecher (Lee Tergesen) to sit down with Said and Schillinger and broker some kind of truce. Glynn investigates Keenan's murder, and thanks to O'Reily's (Dean Winters) machinations, gets two conflicting stories about the murder. O'Reily gets Martin Montgomery (Peter Criss of KISS fame) to claim that he saw Stanton (Thomas G. Waites) commit the crime. Hill gets word that his wife is divorcing him.
