This thoughtful and sometimes horrific anime-style sci-fi thriller series is an engrossing piece of work based on a collection of short stories by Ken Liu. Go to Full Review

It’s a portrait of a rapidly changing world that takes care to document the emotional carnage left in its wake, to gripping, troubling and ultimately quite moving effect. Go to Full Review

What unravels throughout the series...are questions of a post-body existence, a re-examination of what actually makes us human, the ethics of such technology, and, of course, the consequences of humans ultimately playing gods. Go to Full Review

Heebie J @hebzzz Jan 14 havent watched season 2. this show was super good. the characters were awsome, world building wree awesome, the atmosphere was awesome, i can just keep going with all of its succeses. But i do feel like it got boring at times because none of the characters really jumped out of the screen for me. they felt real and human and i watch TV to escape, so its not really a problem with the show but its just a me thing lmao. laurie was my favourite character and i feel the dialogue in this show should be studied. It was so direct and so perfect to me, i avent found a show like that. it doesnt beat around the bush, its straight to the point and it makes me uncomfortable. anyway, might plan to watch season 2, who really knows See more Andreas J @Scif-fi3xpert Jan 3 The whole show feels like one big never ending black mirror episode but animated, lots of plot twists and intellectual dialogues and deep mind bending sci fi. See more A S. @dreamers10194 Nov 19 A great adventure and so interesting. I enjoyed every season See more Geoffrey D @gdowdle Aug 27 This has to be one of the greatest pieces of media ever created. I see some didn't give it perfect marks because the last two episodes feel fast but isn't that kind of the whole point of this TV show? Absolutely incredible how gripping this can be without resorting to the usual TV-MA trash. See more Steven C @AnonymousBosch Aug 12 Very intelligent and thoughtful show. See more Tjerk v Aug 11 The animation and acting are good. The idea of the show is great, I would love to see a show where they explore the societal and ethical implications of downloading people's brains into a computer. It's just so sad that the writer(s) think they are cleverer then they in reality are. Their lack of knowledge of the subject matter makes it unwatchable for me. See more Read all reviews
