Tv Season Info
Perfect Couples' is distinctive only for being so boldly unoriginal in conception and in execution.
If "laugh tracks" hadn't acquired such a bad name, they'd likely perk up the pace, the dialogue, the situations and even the look of the sets, all of which play flat.
So screechy, predictable and lame; I kind of despised these characters within minutes of being introduced to them.
An unwelcome reminder of the long-ago era when "must-see" NBC ruled Thursdays and the network was so smugly complacent it regularly filled the 8:30/7:30c half-hour between hits with cookie-cutter nonentities.
