Matthew Raymond C @RT19930079 Oct 21 Stressed Eric is not widely remembered on Nickelodeon because it aired for a relatively short time from 2019 to 2021 and did not receive the same level of popularity or recognition as some other animated series or airing around the same time meaning that the original run of the show aired on BBC in 1998 and it was more of adult oriented animated series mean that when it re aired on Nickelodeon it was a really hard show to catch because Nickelodeon changed its time slot at night meaning that it was very early to watch the show poor broadcast strategy minimum marketing and low ratings limited television earrings this series released primarily focused on re-airing rather than a new television show on Nickelodeon a quiet Paramount plus debut in the United States the show's first season and only was released on Paramount Plus in February 2020 with no major announcements or marketing plush minimal cable presence the show did not begin airing on cable television since August 2021 the show did not air in the United States a month after it was canceled it was broadcast on cable television until July 2021 on Disney XD more than a year after streaming release this was limited due limited cable run also suffered from low ratings foreign broadcast priority the show aired in the United Kingdom and Ireland on Nickelodeon and 2019 but even there it struggled with low poor ratings lack of promotion Nickelodeon had little interest in to promoting the series in North America leading to a quiet release after few known about its lack of public combined with quiet streaming drop meant the show never build a large audience cancellation after two seasons and target audience mismatch poor viewership in the UK and North America ultimately led to the show's quiet cancellation it was officially confirmed on June 2021 that there were no plans for a third season by then it was removed from most broadcast schedules. Network misalignment the show was primarily aimed at adults and after my language and Gore were shown Nickelodeon had to quickly pull it from their lineup and automatically change its time slot. They loved this show, but it always drove my mom crazy, which was part of why they liked it so much. The show does have a few cringe scenes, but it's overall really entertaining.
