After that shocker, he moves back into the family home to help care for his mother, who has previously attempted suicide. He later moves out and into a house with best friend Tom. [Please Like Me is] prepared to venture into dark places, to tackle issues including suicide and mental illness, at the same time as it celebrates the pleasures of Portuguese custard tarts and ponders the oddities of the world. Go to Full Review

Kathleen H @RT20191880 03/17/2023 This series just keeps getting better and better. The writing is great, Josh is quirky and fun, but has his own list of problems while trying to help his mom who definitely has her issues. And there's Tom, who really can't figure anything out yet. It's a beautiful story about some interesting people. See more 03/23/2019 This show is such a lovely show! There is something very charming about it and I canâ??t really place it, but I highly recommend it! If you can handle some more mature themes that is. I do think that this is one of those shows that younger people wonâ??t enjoy as it requires a dark humor that one gets from life experience. The show is somehow over the top and down to earth at the same timeâ?¦ I do have to say I liked the first season more than I did the second, but this show continues to be very lovable!
