Art and Craft

Episode Info

The story of infamous art forger Mark Landis, who donated his faux works to art museums and institutions, sometimes while posing as a priest, over a 30-year period. He may have gotten away with it, too, if not for former Oklahoma City Museum of Art registrar Matthew Leininger, who methodically investigated his donations before exposing him in 2008. Because the forgeries were donations, however, Landis committed no crime.
