As time has passed since Alison, then the queen bee of the bunch, went missing. Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily have gone on with their lives, though they've grown apart. As the years go by, each girl finds herself facing a new set of challenges when anonymous text messages from "A" threaten to expose all their secrets -- both old secrets the girls were sure only Alison knew, and newer secrets developed after Alison's disappearance. Who is "A" and how does he or she know the things he or she knows? Based on the series of novels by Sara Shepard.

I'm not sure if it's the perfectly spaced scheduling or the perfectly glacial storytelling... but [PLL] feels like it's been on the air forever. When I heard season two was about to start I had two main reactions: Ugh, already? And...only season two?

Pretty Little Liars only has a couple more episodes to become a guilty pleasure for me. You might not believe it based on the amount of programming I watch, but I've only got room for so much bad TV.

I enjoyed the Second half of this season much more than the first half TBH. The first half was just so boring with almost nothing at all happening, the first half was so hard to sit through like I almost gave up, I also felt that the counselor was just stupid for ordering them not to be around each other, even though they are the only emotional support they have. This season really picks up around episode 11 and just gets better each episode to the very end.

Pretty Little Liars Season 2 keeps you invested into the loose ends from Season 1 while revealing way more context behind the murder and disappearance of Allison and the events that led up to her death. The cast in this show is still amazing with some new talent joining the show and some supporting actors getting their time to shine with promising and amazing performances. I felt like the plot twists towards the end were really satisfying with the payoff that was given. But I do feel like this season didn't have as many subplots as season 1 and was able to keep me engaged without it and was able to let the viewer breathe more. But with that in mind, some of the earlier episodes felt more filler because there weren't as many pieces to the puzzle this time. But with that in mind, the show still kept its suspense and made me second guess who killed Allison and who A ultimately is. The conclusion at the end I thought was wrapped up nicely while teasing what secrets and lies will be revealed in Season 3. Overall, Pretty Little Liars goes strong with its second season with a lighter story to follow for people who don't like so many subplots but for me Season 2 gets a B+.

In my opinion, this is the best season. It's the only seasons that has a good A reveal, that's not only filler and that actually has a super good story.
