Sadly, it has become just another unwatchable reality show applauding meanness over design quality. I suffered through last season, hoping that the poor reviews would lead to some changes, but honestly, this season is even worse. I’ve already quit watching it and my advice to others would be to skip it altogether. I’ve watched every episode of Project Runway and watching this season has been hell to say the least. Usually I don’t leave bad reviews, but the final straw came during the Siriano Save this season. Law Roach is a bully. The challenges are subpar. The contestants have so much talent and are wasted in this competition. The attempt at evolution has completely backfired. This season is poorly crafted and altogether unwatchable. I won’t be watching next season. As long-time fans, we shouldn’t have to deal with this. It now represents everything that is wrong with this world, mean cattiness pushing downwards instead of building up. Law and his hairflip attitude is beyond obnoxious. They don’t even focus on the construction or really show the final pieces on the runway well. (Terrible editing) Just crying and cattiness. Judges are terrible and no constructive. I do feel like people have forgotten that Project Runway did start out as a pretty catty show, but it fit the era it was created in. All reality TV was based on drama in the early 2000s. Then when Heidi left the show it seemed to take a positive turn towards highlighting the art and the talent of the designers instead of pitting them again one another. Now that Heidi is back, it seems like the drama is worse than it ever was before. This does not fit the times we are living in. Plus, maybe consider that the fans of the show are grown adults and find the constant bickering between the judges and contestants incredibly cringy. Don't even get me starts on Law. He just needs to go immediately. And maybe the producers should take some time to read reviews and make some changes. Do your job and quit ruining a classic show that should bring happiness and inspiration. Viewers don't tune in for the catty drama and backstabbing, they tune in for the designs, which are on a back burner for season 22. Bring back Michael Kors and Nina Garcia and get rid of Tyra Banks and Law Roach. Law Roach is a vile human being and should not be a judge. Go back to the origins of the show if you want to keep viewers interested. This new format doesn't work and people are tuning out.
