The second season of "Project Runway" sees 16 fashion designers vie for the top prize. This includes a mentorship with Banana Republic, a fashion spread at ELLE Magazine, a 2007 Saturn Sky roadster, and $100,000 seed money to launch their label. The challenges involve creating outfits from clothes the designers happen to wear at the time, a life-sized collection for a popular doll line, and evening gowns for celebrities. Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, and Nina Garcia return to the judging panel, while Tim Gunn comes back as co-host and mentor. Legendary fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg, socialite Nicky Hilton, and supermodel Imam make special appearances as guest judges.
