In Season 6, Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill) continue taking on cases that put them in strange situations. Meanwhile, Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) learns the truth about Shawn and Juliet (Maggie Lawson) and finds a love interest of his own (Kristy Swanson); and Shawn helps Juliet reconnect with her estranged dad (William Shatner), but the reunion isn't quite what he expected. Now while this episode doesn't introduce any major characters that are going to come back to haunt Shawn and Gus later (at least I don't think any of them will, you never know on this show), it did give us some very cool moments.

The show comes to life when the two leads are allowed to just do what they do best but could you imagine if they actually had an engaging, interesting mystery to solve?

Psych has an idea of where it's going, pushing the limits of believability with Shawn's powers and keeping its very likeable cast running comfortably with more in the tank.

The same, yet improved formula of addicting humor and well written drama is back with some of the best episodes of the show, but with more real life stakes and consequences added on to improve the writing while also staying close enough to the line to make this feel in stride with reality providing an unexpected, yet tremendous season finale.
