"Queen of Tears" relies on a lot of K-drama tropes: e.g. brain cancer, memory loss, chaebol in-laws from hell, evil adoptee. But Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won are so good in their lead roles that viewers can overlook all of that to cheer on this couple. Go to Full Review

The main couple played their parts so well; this show was so wholesome. Kim Soo-Hyun's tears throughout the show break my heart every time; him and Kim Ji-Won were so genuine and authentic and I could feel every emotion they were feeling. This show was cathartic. I will forever listen to this soundtrack on repeat -- especially "The Reasons of My Smiles." Ahhh the feels!! From the very first episode, it captures your attention with its engaging plot, well-developed characters, and deep emotional impact. One of the best things about this drama is that it doesn’t just focus on the main characters—it gives equal importance to the supporting cast, making every storyline meaningful. Each character adds depth to the story, creating a rich and immersive experience. The chemistry between the leads is phenomenal, and the performances are top-notch, making every emotional moment feel raw and real. The cinematography is stunning, capturing the beauty of every scene, while the soundtrack perfectly complements the emotions, enhancing the overall experience. The music is not just background noise—it becomes a part of the story, making key moments even more memorable. What makes Queen of Tears truly special is its balance of romance, humor, and drama. It keeps you invested with its unpredictable twists, heartfelt moments, and a storyline that never loses its charm. I truly enjoyed every episode, and it’s the kind of drama that stays with you long after you’ve finished watching.
