Brodie's confidence is shaken when he returns home to New Orleans and finds that all his friends have moved on with their lives. His best friend Ruthie and her partner Shar are navigating new family commitments. His ex, Noah, is suddenly exploring a new side of his sexuality. Even his brother Julian seems unperturbed by his nearly two-year absence. But one fateful night out at a club brings Mingus, a young aspiring drag performer, into his life, redefines his relationships and rocks the very foundations of their city's queer community.

It’s a new take on a new era of queer community, one that looks at intra-community micro-aggressions and dynamics beyond the original’s occasional awareness that it was easier to be a super-hot white gay guy than a less hot white gay guy. Go to Full Review

Queer as Folk always felt dangerous and interesting, as if we were peeking in on a world we shouldn’t. The reboot feels jaded, as if we are watching things we’ve seen a hundred times before. Go to Full Review

It adds up to a warm, intricate, humane portrait of a world in which people are finding their feet and their chosen families, all on constantly shifting sands. It’s good to have the folk back. Go to Full Review

The Peacock show toes a fine line between representing marginalized communities and potentially exploiting their trauma. Go to Full Review

It may be trash TV, but it’s OUR trash TV, and that makes all the difference. Go to Full Review

Dinos K 07/20/2024 Great show, really perfect!! See more Ikerluz22 ʕ 02/19/2024 Flop. She didn't serve. See more Co-Host C @klubbkidd 02/20/2023 Horrible , didnt even make it thru 1 episode i stick with the original american version or the uk version See more Daniel J 12/31/2022 I've seen each version of this show, from the original British series to the on-too-long American show years ago. This one feels like the best parts of the old shows, but with truly impressive inclusivity and new voices. It's not perfect, but it's a lot of fun and has something to say. See more Bonbon C 12/24/2022 One of the worst remakes... should have renamed it into another show! Casting was bad... acting was bad.... writing was a cheesefest.... Jeeez everything was just soooo damn bad! I really wanted to like it.... I really did perhaps I never will. See more Jeffrey Dean S 08/25/2022 The characters as written were hollow caricatures of the people they were representing. This series is full of stereotypes and developing the characters was exchanged for moving the story quickly. I really wanted to like this reboot but it brought nothing new to the table except acknowledging The Pulse Nightclub style of tragedy. I applaud most of the actors for doing their best with a stinky script. Kim Cattrall was under utilized as well. Better writing please if there is a season 2. See more Read all reviews
