More than a decade after the original series went off the air, Netflix reboots the "Queer Eye" franchise with a new Fab Five and a new setting, trading in the concrete jungle of New York City for other areas of the United States. The style experts forge relationships with men and women who often have different beliefs from them, leading to moments of social commentary interspersed with style advice. Advising people in need of lifestyle makeovers are food and wine specialist Antoni Porowski, interior designer Bobby Berk, grooming consultant Jonathan Van Ness, fashion designer Tan France and culture expert Karamo Brown, who reality TV fans may recognize as one of the housemates on "The Real World: Philadelphia." David Collins, who created the original show, is on board as an executive producer.

love Queer Eye, but this is the fourth series in 18 months. I'm starting to get a bit worried that it's just too much. Don't overdo it. Go to Full Review

Four seasons on -- despite (or perhaps because of) everything else that's happening in the world -- Queer Eye just keeps getting better: more loving, more inclusive, more optimistic. For real. Go to Full Review

Queer Eye's formula -- manipulative and effective, awkward and transcendent -- remains the same as before, but the emphasis on the Fab Five as individuals does change its value proposition somewhat. Go to Full Review

Queer Eye continues to focus on self-care and embracing change, reminding its participants and audiences about the importance of acceptance of oneself and of others. Go to Full Review

Don't get me wrong, Queer Eye still delivers jaw-dropping makeovers to people who deserve them. That's all it is though-a makeover show. In 2019, we need it to be more than that. Go to Full Review

While season three left some viewers a little disappointed with the journeys they saw, season four brings the quality back a little closer to season one. Go to Full Review
