Critics Consensus

Although Rabbit Hole tumbles into one twist too many, Kiefer Sutherland remains compelling in his welcome return to the espionage genre.

The first episode, from creators John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, is unsurprisingly terse and muscular, but the second is far more tonally fluid. Go to Full Review

This is a caper that, trading in thrills, spills and inverted commas, doesn’t quite know what it wants to be. When bodies topple from a high ledge in a splat of ketchup, the first time it’s serious; the second time it’s hilarious. Go to Full Review

This is well-worn territory but, God, I want it fed to me like peeled grapes to a Roman emperor. Go to Full Review

Despite its theme, this espionage series is not a skeptical reflection on the meaning of democracy in our hyper-surveillanced society. Its objective is modest: to merge paranoid thriller with action comedy. Results are not bad. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Rabbit Hole is easily one of the best series of 2023 so far. If you’re into thrilling storylines and mind blowing twists and turns delivered with a highly cinematic aesthetic, Rabbit Hole is an absolute must-see. Go to Full Review

The map of intrigue is printed on Kiefer Sutherland's face. Without masking the passage of time, the actor is at home in this world of paranoia, suspicions, deceit, machinations, and simulations. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Stephen C @bob25009 Dec 30 8 successful episodes!!!!!!!!!!! Rated TV-MA for Crude Indecent Language (L) and Graphic Violence (V)!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more Silke B @Silke1 Oct 27 I had high expectations for this series up until 30 minutes in. Then it became so tedious & contrived I had to turn it off. It reminded me of the nseries with Jon Hamm ithe Middle East. Writers & filmmakers are running out of new things to exploit both in movies & series & think overly complicated multiple nonsensical plots will distract viewers enough to keep them tuned in. WRONG. See more Cristian s @cristiansj Aug 14 Joyita. Serie de conspiración y espionaje que basa toda su estructura en giros inesperados que logran sorprender hasta el ultimo capitulo. Buen ritmo y con un toque de humor justo bastante particular. Ojala haya mas episodios porque quiero ver mas de John Weir. See more Khaled N @RT88800787 Jul 17 haven't seen anything that good in a long time See more AJ C @courtmaster 03/22/2025 Season 1 is like eating an assortment of starburst’s in the dark. You’re not sure which flavor will be next, but you know it’s going to be good. The emotional sharpness could be enhanced along with the beauty, scope, and joviality. See more Rosey R @Rosey26 01/11/2025 I feel this series is worth the watch just for the content. Could this end up being our future here in the US? Acting was good. Really disliked the flashbacks! Plot was a little all over the place but I will never find Kiefer Sutherland tiring. I also enjoyed other actors. See more Read all reviews
