A cool little plot twist in these first couple of episodes and it seems like it’s going to set up multiple plot twists or one big plot twist. In Season 4, his performance feels more internalized. Tamara (Sydelle Noel) brings superb tactical friction to the group, acting as a brilliant pragmatic anchor who challenges Reacher’s rogue methodology. Her chemistry with Jacob (Chris Marquette) and the rest of the transient team ensures that the stakes feel intensely personal. Rather than treating the secondary cast as mere exposition delivery devices, the writing gives them distinct agency, forcing Reacher to cooperate with people who must actually live in the world he merely passes through. The man is built like a brick wall and the action this season is somehow even more brutal than before—that subway sequence in episode 1 alone was worth the Prime subscription. The pacing for this 3-episode premiere is super fast, the conspiracy is already hooking me in, and the new cast members fit right into the fold. No boring filler, just straight-up badasses doing what they do best. If this premiere is any sign of where the rest of the season is going, we are in for a ridiculous ride.
