At the Council of Valhalla, the gods vote unanimously for humankind's extinction; Brunhild, eldest of the Valkyrie sisters, raises her objection.
In the first round of the Ragnarok battle, Han dynasty warlord Lü Bu puts up a good fight against Norse god Thor, surprising the gods in attendance.
To give Lü Bu the upper hand against Thor, Brunhild summons her sister Randgriz and asks her to transform into a sacred weapon -- the Shield Breaker.
Lü Bu's legs are crushed by Thor's hammer attack, but just when all hope seems lost, the warlord's trusty horse, Red Hare, rides in.
Chosen for the next round is Adam, the father of humankind and the man who bears more hatred for the gods than anyone else.
Zeus insists on going up against Adam, who joins forces with Reginleif to obtain a peculiar weapon -- a knuckleduster.
Just when it looks like Adam will earn a victory for humankind, Zeus gathers his strength to ask Adam why he's really fighting.
Zeus transforms into his final most powerful form, but he suffers a beating and may not last much longer in the fight.
Humankind is desperate to win the next bout, but its heroes are going up against Poseidon, one of the mightiest god of them all.
Kojiro Sasaki uses his mighty Tsubame Gaeshi move to finish off Poseidon, but the god of the sea won't be sunk so easily.

Jan 21, 2023I wasted 3 episodes of time that I will never get back. No fighting bunch of bs backstories after every strike.

Oct 12, 2022The first season of Record of Ragnarok in the aspect of animation for some people may be a little bit scrappy, and I agree with it, but the other thing is the 'scrappy animation' is so well-compensated by the story.

May 19, 2022This is a ridiculously muddled nonsensical mess. The pacing of the show is slow and clunky as each fight lasted 4 episodes and were constantly interrupted by long tedious flashbacks. Each fight consisted of only 3 or 4 attacks. Each attack got a backstory flashback and then basically caused no damage all amid constant audience chatter. The ridiculousness of not animating crucial points in a fight, but spending time animating Aphrodite's massive bordering on repulsive breast jiggling in the middle of a fight. Time means nothing here as the characters are from different time periods and are brought together with no explanation or acknowledgment of the difference in time periods. The Mythology here is so muddled it borders on disrespectful in a very superfluous way. Slamming all the mythologies together while simultaneously changing basic information, character traits, even dominion. The audacity to alter the Garden of Eden story so poorly and making Adam so overpowered yet lose on a technicality. This show is egregiously wasted potential. I wish I could get the time back that I spent watching it. Whoever made this should never be in charge of another project again.

Aug 23, 2021It's not great but had a lot of fun watching it. Although it's filled with typical anime cliches it manages to be entertaining and makes you cheer for the characters. I actually found myself hyped for another season.

Aug 20, 2021The anime dont have animation. Is more like a Power Point lots of slides
-
Aug 18, 2021Lame, slow and poorly written

Jul 17, 2021It's been a long time since I have been introducted to an anime that is both exciting and unpredictable. Record of Ragnarok is perhaps one of my favourite animes in all time, thanks to its fantastic animiation and suspensive figher reveals. I truly hope that Season 2 is announced and will simply hang on till then!
-
Jul 17, 2021In short: a lot of amazing stories to tell and they choose to make it so boring. Random fillers. Fighting scenes are just pictures with shaking effects - Lazing animation, bad stories teller. Full disappointment in the whole company creating these series. 10mn content make it to 100mn .

Jul 14, 2021This anime is just perfect. The fighting scenes, the plot, the diversity of mithologies inside... For sure this is a must watch. It may not have the most incredible visual effects, but the animation is really good and the plot is worth itself... There must be another season in the future!
