Smiling D Jan 7 A series that started with a twist on history (writer’s creative liberties) and humor. I sat back and enjoyed until the writer gave us unnecessary back stories and what should have been a surprise cheating by the Gods turned out to be a predictable pattern as were the fights. A few vices in weapons and power, but the battles all seem to mesh together as one, feeling monotonous. I loved the concept, but the writer has tunnel vision. What sent me into a rage was the cliff-hanger ending of season 3 without a conclusion. The audience deserves better; there are better ways to hook us for next season without leaving the world’s fate in the hands of an inexperienced writer. See more Ry N @RyGuy Dec 23 Season 3 continues tied up after Buddha's victory. Round 7, Hades v Qin Shi Huang, had a great fight between kings with a cool backstory for the unifier of China. Round 8, Tesla v Beelzebub, was a little boring, but it showcases the new animation nicely. Round 9, Leonidas v Apollo, was another solid fight with a backstory I didn't care for. The pattern of the fights were all the same through and through. This is an extremely heavy spoiler of the shows structure. There are 3 total fights happening in this season, which each fight takes around 4 to 5 episodes to finish. Sounds great right? No... its about 15 to 20% of the actual fight and than the rest is boring, horrible, sob back story that could have been cut down so much. I dont need to know what their gods favorite food was and why it made it special with so and so or yada this and yada that.... I loved the first season cause there was more focus on the actual fights and it was a little bit more engaging l. This however was just intro, few short punches, story of the human, show human ace card in fight which was short, than the gods turn for exactly the same thing, than some character evolution either/both God/human side and climactic finish. I had to skip most of the show cause I could take watching 5 hours of this.
