In this space spoof, Dave Lister (a chicken-soup-machine repairman) is a survivor of a radiation leak on his mining space ship. The problem is that he is the only survivor. But wait ... it gets better. Having come out of suspended animation 3,000,000 years later, Lister only has a holograph of his intolerable dead shipmate, the vain Cat (an evolvement of his former pet), old and senile ship's computer Holly (think HAL with memory loss) and robot Kryten.

A true return to form for the series, with the cast reduced back to the classic four from Series III – VI and with six half hour episodes most of which are good to even great. Go to Full Review

There are some inventive sci-fi ideas at play here... but with a smaller visual scope and a stripped-back cast, the series is forced to rely on what made it great in the early days - in a nutshell, the characters simply talking to each other. Go to Full Review

02/19/2019 Full of creative sci fi concepts and amazing character development. Red Dwarf X is the ideal sci fi comedy for any fan of the show and either a sci fi or a comedy fan in general. See more 03/22/2018 The show finally returns to its sitcom roots and this is a welcome surprise. A big improvement on Seasons 7, 8 and 9 and closer to what the show should be. It never hits the heights of the older episodes but there is enough here to keep fans happy. See more 03/20/2016 A most welcome return to form, full of interesting sci-fi concepts, funny and smart. The wit is back up to standard with just enough ridiculous moments to satisfy the classic slapstick elements. This is the Red Dwarf I know and love...
