Awesome, faultless. Those kids smash their roles, they are riveting. Telling a deep, rich and difficult story of disadvantage, desperation and the disenfranchised with lightness, humour and quirkiness is quite a feat to pull off. And they do. Hats off to Taika Watiti for getting this off the ground and staying loyal to indigenous projects. There is a strong theme of stoic hope throughout that tells much about Native Americans. Beautifully shot with top notch production values.

I've never reviewed a show in my life before but I had to contribute to the praise of Reservation Dogs SOMEWHERE. The rest of the best TV I've seen in my life never moved me to write a review, but now I have to shout into the void about how everyone needs to watch this show or I'll die. Every aspect is superb and I've finished every episode feeling like I just got hit by a car because of how effective it is at making me feel stuff.

Aho! Never have I ever, in all my years, seen a TV show that is more heartfelt, healing, awe inspiring, tear-jerking, soul crushing, beautiful, warm, loveable, or devastatingly honest in its portrayal of our complex human nature. It's so perfect that I'm mad at Hollywood for it's continual blockade of native voices, actors, stories. Humanity suffers when diversity is absent. The collective knowledge of our indigenous brothers and sisters around the world can provide that which missing in our modern culture and western society, they have the power to heal us. They are waiting/willing to share if we allow them a voice and a place to stand. Their ways and culture existed for 10s of thousands of years. They thrived and spread to every corner of the earth until we in the west attempted to annihilate every aspect of their existence. Yet they survived and maintain their ways. There is a lesson to be learned from that, knowledge to be found, and healing I/we desperately need to learn.
