What a poorly conceived and transparently written show for a group of people that is supposedly searching for meaning in life and yet destroying every relationship they touch. They have no purpose and are aimlessly wandering in a hopeless sort of way that would actually give a Shakespearian tragedy a bad name. There were no redeeming qualities…awful. I felt like it was a trauma bonding support group and was written by a gay angry child that was hell bent on destroying his or her family and everyone associated with it as some sort of retribution for a perceived abusive childhood. I thoroughly enjoyed all episodes and couldn't stop watching. This series is a love letter to love itself, to relationships, friends, life and New York City. It looks great, the actors are all fantastic (and very likeable), the characters have depth and the whole setting is relatable. Definitely recommend it. You just need to overlook some minor flaws: occasionally it's quite corny and also a bit too politically correct. It also creates the illusion that all New Yorkers are very attractive, successful, polite, well-educated, open-minded people and that your soulmate is just a stone's throw away.
