Archie Andrews starts the school year with the world weighing on his shoulders. He's decided he wants to pursue a future in the music business, but his recently ended clandestine relationship with the music teacher has left him without a mentor, and his friendship with Jughead Jones is in a bad place. Things look like they might be turning around when Veronica Lodge, a new girl, arrives. Despite the instant chemistry, Veronica is hesitant to risk a friendship with Betty -- who has a crush on Archie -- to pursue anything. Amidst all the small-town banality lurks a mystery: the recent tragic death of Jason Blossom, the twin brother of beautiful and popular troublemaker, Cheryl.

Betty's burgeoning bisexuality which she can't quite seem to grasp, is fully realized storytelling. It appeals precisely because it's at the margins of Riverdale's main storytelling. Go to Full Review

The CW teen drama routinely took out-of-left-field supernatural twists. It’s the last of its kind. Go to Full Review

While many of the campy Riverdale trademarks that have made this show a smash hit are certainly still there, the limitations of the time period... set the final season off to a rocky start. Go to Full Review

Mauricio A @RT56913727 10/01/2024 Muuto bom... teve um final perfeito!! See more Rogue 5 @RT17098361 02/12/2024 It's not horrible, but it takes away the mystery element, which is what made Riverdale good. See more C R @RT09384135 10/14/2023 I loved this final season so much. It was right on target with how these characters would have felt being gay if Korean or different in any way. I did not love all the gore and stupidity of most of the previous seasons. Archie was maniac in his good guy behavior one day and angry crazy guy the next. I thought Betty's facial expressions were hilarious throughout all 7 seasons. Very creative writing every single season but I definitely loved Season 7 the best, it was bodily the opposite from the raunchiness of the previous seasons. I only wish Jason was in this season simply because I think he is gorgeous and mesmerizing to look at. Such a romantic and innocent final season. Great ending. See more Yash B @yashbansal 10/11/2023 "Riverdale" has never been a work of art and nor is it trying to be. I think this is a show that had an awesome first season with a fun murder mystery and over-the-top high school drama. I think seasons 2 and 3 are fun enough and then 4 and 5 get a bit worse. Then seasons 6 and 7 get just bad enough to where it's no longer really fun to watch anymore. I would say anyone interested in this show has no reason to watch past season 3. There's fun to be had and good episodes scattered and was a guilty pleasure for me. I wouldn't say it is a great show but the bad writing and silly storylines were entertaining. Overall, it is a show that ran for too long but it is a show that I enjoyed enough as a guilty pleasure. See more Cary G @RT91431158 09/14/2023 What the heck happened to this show? It has become mind-numbingly dull. When the show first aired it had this cool, Twin Peaks vibe. This season feels as if it has run out of steam. Meh See more Johnathon W @Hoppynsc 09/01/2023 Solid conclusion to the "Riverdale" series that finally presented the show in the 1950's, but with a modern spin. The cast remains superb and the show runners pay great homage to the comic's history, including an ironic bit about the Comics Code Authority emerging, considered that Archie Comics founder, John Goldwater, was the head of it. While this show got too strange for its own good sometimes, it still provided a lot of fun. See more Read all reviews
