The different phases of male-female relationships are examined as seen through the eyes of young couple Adam and Jennifer. Their friends include longtime-married pair Jeff and Audrey, and a womanizing singleton named Russell. As Adam and Jennifer find out, the often-confusing stages of a relationship can seem like a ride on a roller coaster: Folks can describe it to you, but you have to take the trip for yourself to know what it's like.

01/06/2019 The show looses me on the lack of character development through out all 7 seasons. It is hell having to watch the same behavior by Russell when all he needs to become a good character is a change of heart that lasts more than a single episode See more 04/07/2015 You've got to hand it to Rules of Engagement for being a mid-season show, and lasting 7 seasons (not just that, but 100 episodes). Season 7 admittedly tries to quickly end the show towards the end, but still manages to give a 'last hurrah' of sorts; with character-focused episodes, solid comedy, and good character conclusions. Highlights include "Cupcake", "Baby Talk", "Catering", "Unpleasant Surprises", and especially "100th" (the series finale - giving a solid conclusion). See more 01/30/2014 Great comedy TV show!
