Drag shows are not for everyone, but anyone can enjoy an insider's peek at one of the more outré forms of transformative entertainment.

Nov 13, 2018 | Full Review…

Yes, it's funny and campy and an absolute treasure trove of GIFs, but it's also honest-to-god more substantive than one might expect when all you know about the show is that there are huge wigs involved.

Nov 13, 2018 | Full Review…

Certainly Drag Race is over the top and trés gay and a lot of fun.

May 26, 2020 | Full Review…

Beyond those things, I think the show depends upon how funny you find RuPaul to be, and like with the Tic Tac-for-lunch joke that continued through the finale, RuPaul often seemed to be trying too hard and thus just isn't really funny.

Apr 1, 2020 | Full Review…

Unfortunately, RuPaul's Drag Race doesn't provide such critical barbs. Instead, it speaks to the demise of camp as critique and its incorporation into capitalist values.

Mar 26, 2019 | Rating: 5/10 | Full Review…

It's a nearly dead-on spoof of Project Runway and America's Next Top Model... Yes, Ru is playing both the Heidi and the Tim parts on this show and frankly, that's a little bit of genius.

Nov 13, 2018 | Full Review…

Rather than simply treating drag performers as people to be laughed at and/or scorned, the show also focuses on the hard work and talent that goes into drag performances.

Nov 13, 2018 | Rating: 3/5 | Full Review…

Ru presides over everything with the theatrical sternness of Tyra Banks and the motherly wisdom of Oprah.

Audience Reviews for RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 1

Even if the image quality is the worst, is important to remember the bold act to present a reality show full of "LGBTness" in the television.

Uma primeira temporada muito boa, com desafios engraçados e interessantes. A única falha enorme na série é a pouca qualidade na gravação...
