After Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Inspector Donny "Fitz" Fitzpatrick digs too deeply into a local politician's nefarious activity, he is exiled to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon (the French Territory nestled in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Newfoundland). Fitz's arrival disrupts the life of Deputy Chief Geneviève "Arch" Archambault, a Parisian transplant who is in Saint-Pierre for her own intriguing reasons.

set in the beautiful, windswept French island, peopled come “because they love it or they’re escaping “. C O Oct 3 This show is solidly in a genre popular in the UK. Not quite a closed circle, nor a cozy, but modern and chill, borrowing from both. Its setting is attractive, set apart, and cloistered. The characters are relatable, the crimes are not terribly disturbing, and there is a puzzle to follow. I am very much enjoying it and think it will be popular with anyone binging similar fare on Britbox. See more Ethan M Feb 12 The writing is fairly generic and a little predictable. It also seems unrealistic that many of the "residents" of Saint-Pierre speak unaccented english or speak with a Quebec accent but I suppose it's understandable from a Canadian show. Overall, I would still recommend it as Allan Hawco, Joséphine Jobert and the beautiful scenery make this an enjoyable show to watch. See more Dennis B 02/03/2025 I love this show - flaws and all. Hawco and Jobert are a great team - the location is gorgeous and the cinematography is world class. However, the directors and producers look as if they are trying to get the day shooting done before overtime. ZERO imagination - story shortcuts galore (writers are mandated to keep it simple) - and even with that, Saint Pierre is easy to watch. Please directors and producers - elevate your game because taking the easy way out wastes the opportunity of how unique Saint Pierre could be if you weren't just mailing it in and cashing a paycheque.
